“Partners and Solutions for Business”

Fiji Marriott Resort, Momi Bay, Fiji

4 – 6 October 2018

The Fiji Australia Business Council and the Australia Fiji Business Council are pleased to announce their 2018 Joint Business Forum to be held at the Fiji Marriott Resort, Momi Bay, Nadi, Fiji, on 4 – 6 October 2018. The Forum theme is “Partners and Solutions for Business”. You are invited to register and attend.

This Forum is the annual bilateral business meeting between Fijian and Australian business and government. Participants enjoy the unparalleled opportunity to network with senior Fijian and Australian based policy makers and senior business people plus learn about business challenges and opportunities in bilateral trade from outstanding presenters.

The program includes speeches by senior members of both governments with presentations by experts on the Fijian business and economic environment. This Forum has information for investors and traders with specific focus on agribusiness (including food and wine) and Fiji’s building and construction sector. Both sectors are enjoying a healthy growth and both present significant opportunities to Australian businesses in these sectors. AusTrade is holding a Building and Construction plus Agribusiness Mission to Fiji in the days prior to the Forum. At its completion participants of that Trade Mission are encouraged and welcome to register for the Joint Forum.

The planned outcomes of the Forum are for delegates to improve their understanding of the opportunities and challenges of business between the countries and to enhance the bilateral business and investment relationship between both countries. It is anticipated that both governments will improve their understanding of the issues which businesses in each country face and what they could do to improve bilateral trade in goods and services.

Fiji offers a range of opportunities for Australian businesses in building and construction and agribusiness, capital works/infrastructure including roads and bridges, power, water and sewerage, ports and airports, food and beverage and ICT products and services including back office and remote services.
